Alumnus named assistant superintendent for Columbia Public Schools

Columbia College alumnus Ben Tilley has
been tapped to become the assistant superintendent of elementary education for
Columbia Public Schools. Tilley is currently the district’s Title I supervisor,
overseeing the district’s work on Title I, which is meant to improve the
academic achievement of disadvantaged elementary and secondary school students.
Tilley, who graduated in 1996, just received the CCAA’s Distinguished Alumni
Award at the alumni awards banquet during Reunion Weekend.
