A formal induction ceremony was held on March 11, 2014 at the Columbia College-Lake of the Ozarks campus.
        
Membership in Sigma Beta Delta is reserved for juniors, seniors and recently alumni who rank in the top 20 percent of their class with at least a 3.5 GPA and have completed at least 30 credit hours at Columbia College toward their business administration degree. Sigma Beta Delta exists to encourage and recognize scholarship and achievement among students of business.

Tau Upsilon Alpha is a national organization for human services. The purpose of this honor society is to honor academic excellence, to foster lifelong learning, leadership and development, and to promote excellence in service to humanity. Membership is based upon a minimum of 3.25 GPA, and members must be in the upper 35% of their class, have completed 12 hours of Human Services courses at Columbia College, and have a minimum of 52 total semester hours. 
        
“Our business administration and human services programs serve our students very well as they prepare to apply their degrees in their chosen career paths,” Dr. John Keeney, director of Columbia College – Lake of the Ozarks said. “We are proud to honor these outstanding students and recognize their efforts toward academic excellence.”
