President Dalrymple addresses campus community for the first time

Yesterday, before a packed Launer Auditorium at the main campus, Columbia College publicy introduced 17th president of the college, Dr. Scott Dalrymple and his wife Dr. Tina Dalrymple. The event began at 9:45 a.m. CST and welcomed students, faculty, staff, community members and members of the Columbia College Board of Trustees. Former President Donald Ruthenberg and his wife Dee were in attendance, as were President Emeritus Gerald Brouder and his wife Bonnie.

Members of the Columbia College Evening and Nationwide communities were able to attend via live stream at www.ccis.edu/livestream. A video of the event is available for viewing at this site under the "On Demand" tab.

Michael Kateman, executive director of Development, Alumni and Public Relations, provided opening remarks and introduced Daisy Grossnickle, chair of the Columbia College Board of Trustees, who spoke about the search process. Dr. Dalrymple gave a short address before he and Tina attended a Meet-and-Greet with those in attendance at Atkins-Holman Student Commons.
