News of presidential candidates reaches 38 states

The news of Columbia College announcing
the names of two presidential finalists made the front page of both local daily
newspapers in Columbia, Mo., was shown on newscasts and published in publications around the
country. The Columbia Missourian's executive editor also wrote an
editorial on the transparent process of the search. On Jan. 2, the college
announced Scott Dalrymple and Randall Hanna as the final two candidates to
become the 17th president.
