Fort Stewart campus alumnus featured in The Frontline
Columbia College-Fort Stewart
Dec. 10, 2013
If you haven't picked up the Nov. 28 issue of The Frontline, you should be sure to check it, particularly, page four. Fort Stewart campus alumnus Capt. Stephen Feehan is featured in the article, "Education breeds success for commander."
Feehan completed his bachelor's in business administration from Columbia College-Fort Stewart in 2005 using military tuition assistance. The details of his many educational and military accomplishments are only part of the story. Exemplifying the career possibilities opened by access to military tuition assistance and the determination to succeed, Freehan now is an active advocate for soldiers to futher their education.
In the article Stephen says, "My education has provided me with career and personal opportunities that I would not have had otherwise...The benefits and growth I have received far outweigh the time and money sacrifices my family and I made for my education."
Stephen isn't the only one going for greater, though. His wife Shari is a recent Columbia College graduate, now working at the campus, and exemplifies how tuition assistance is available not only to military students, but also to their spouses and dependents. Shari received Columbia College's Military Spouse Opportunity Grant and Family Member Opportunity Grant to complete classes at the Fort Stewart campus.
