Celebrate Veterans Day early on Nov. 8 with Fort Stewart

Columbia College-Fort Stewart

Nov. 7, 2013

Each year Columbia College is honored to recognize and celebrate veterans with a variety of activities for Veterans Day. The Fort Stewart campus will be closed for Veterans Day on Nov. 11 and will observe the holiday on Nov. 8. We hope you will enjoy these activities with us and thank a veteran for his or her service. The Fort Stewart staff will serve refreshments amongst the display of a "favorite duty station" banner signed by veterans who are students, alumni, family, friends and/or employees of the college. The staff also will sending e-cards to veterans -- you can, too!

Throughout the week of Nov. 4-8, students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends can send Columbia College- and Veterans Day-themed e-cards, thanking veterans for their service. Please send a card today! If you'd like to thank a particular veteran, you can enter his/her email address and Columbia College will deliver the e-card for you. Or, if you'd like the college to send an e-card to veterans in general on your behalf, that sentiment is appreciated, too!

Join the main campus community Nov. 11 via live stream for the Honor Roll reading in Atkins-Holman Student Commons at 11:30 a.m. CST.
