Columbia College-St. Louis

Aug. 28, 2013

Columbia College will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its Adult Higher Education program Aug. 29, which coincides with the anniversary of the college’s first Nationwide Campus location in St. Louis! Campus Director Bob Steffes will provide remarks and introduce guest speakers at 10:30 a.m at the campus, which will be followed by a ribbon cutting to dedicate the newly remodeled campus and a reception. Please join us for these festivities!

Columbia College’s Adult Higher Education program began as response to requests from Army recruiters in the St. Louis area for flexible education opportunities. Established in 1973, the St. Louis campus is now one of 35 Adult Higher Education campuses across the country, which, collectively, serve more than 30,000 students annually. Check out the Spotlight story on the Columbia College homepage for more on the history of AHE and the St. Louis campus. And be sure to check to Spotlight and Compass after Aug. 29 for photos and updates about the ribbon cutting and festivities!
