Hancock Field names first Distinguished Faculty Recognition Award recipient

Hancock Field Campus Director Dr. Scott Vinciguerra granted Tom Cason the Distinguished Faculty Recognition Award for the 2012-13 academic year. Cason was presented this honor at the campus’ staff and faculty dinner on July 27.

A committee of the director, associate director, lead faculty member, base administrator and a student representative make the final decision on who receives the award. The Distinguished Faculty Member exemplifies outstanding teaching and scholarship, as well as a value of the AHE mission and vision statement. Nominations were offered by fellow faculty members.

Cason’s name now is displayed on a formalized plaque in the Hancock Field facility. We are thrilled to have such a wonderful group of faculty teaching here at our campus, and to have a professor such as Tom Cason to demonstrate the qualities that this award exemplifies.
