Independent study ranks Missouri as sixth in the nation for increased percentage of college degrees

In June the Missouri Department of Higher Education published a story on its website regarding a study conducted by the Lumina Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization that investigated states with increasing populations of college graduates.
According to the article, 36.4% of Missourians had a college degree in 2011, placing the state sixth in the nation for the highest population with such degrees.
