The Columbia College-Fort Leonard Wood announced the recipients of the Frank S. Westling Scholarship for the 2013-14 academic year. Columbia College congratulates Tabitha Hundt and Maria Glenn as the Fort Leonard Wood campus recipients. Each year Columbia College awards this $500 scholarship to honor Westling, who was a highly decorated infantry officer and former dean of the college’s Extended Studies Division, now known as Adult Higher Education.
To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be a Nationwide, Evening, or Online Campus student currently pursuing a degree. The student must have a minimum Columbia College GPA of 3.0 and have fifteen hours of residency credit with Columbia College. Applicants also were required to submit a 400- 500 word essay noting career goals, leadership and community service achievements. Applicants were asked to provide any evidence of leadership and service to the community, college, and/or country within the past 12 months. The recipients of the scholarship will receive a one-time $500 award to be used for tuition, books and fees at Columbia College.
Congratulations again to Tabitha Hundt and Maria Glenn!

This is such a great honor and a big help for next semester. Even though I am here in Afghanistan, education is my primary focus.

Thank you Columbia College so very much.
