Columbia College of Missouri-Hancock Field

June 24, 2013

On June 18 Columbia College of Missouri-Hancock Field joined forces with Hancock Field Air National Guard Base to create a team to run in the very popular JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge race in support of the YMCA.
The funds raised will assist the YMCA in maintaining and expanding their “Send a Kid to Camp” campaign. The team was represented amongst 289 businesses and a near-record gathering of 7,589 participants. The team's captain, TSgt Eric Chapman, organized the team’s members and coordinated a T-shirt design with Campus Admissions Manager Kelly Kugler, that was worn while racing. Chapman also took charge of bringing refreshments for the team upon completing the race.
The experience was enjoyable for everyone, and it was a superb day for a 3.5 mile run in the sun while supporting a great cause. The college would like to thank everyone that came out to participate. Everyone did a great job!
