Despite the rain, snow (yes, snow) and wind that the Lake of the Ozarks area experienced on May 4, a tremendous crowd of more than 375 attended the 6th annual Columbia College-Lake of the Ozarks Community Appreciation Day and Book Drive. More than 200 books were collected and distributed to recent education program alumni as they begin their teaching careers, and prizes were given to 10 lucky book donators from Half Sauced BBQ, Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks, Baxter’s Lakeside Grille, Bootlegger’s Sports Bar and Grill and HyVee of Osage Beach.

The day also featured performances from the School of the Osage show choir and Shawn C and Little G, a live remote with KB from KRMS radio, face painting, local organization booths and much more!
