Columbia College-Rolla

April 1, 2013

Columbia College-Rolla will recognize graduates at a commencement ceremony April 6 at 2 p.m. in Jim D. Morris Hall on the Columbia College-Rolla campus in Rolla, Mo.

Dr. Gerald Brouder, president of Columbia College, will give the commencement address and confer the degrees. Gary Robinson ’97, will provide the alumni charge.

“We are proud to celebrate our students’ achievements," said Brouder. "Many people have helped our students along their academic journey, and commencement is a perfect opportunity for those individuals to participate in the honor as well."

Established in 1992, Columbia College-Rolla was originally an extension of Columbia College-Fort Leonard Wood. In 1996, due to enrollment growth, Columbia College-Rolla was established as a separate campus.

In September 2011, Columbia College-Rolla received a substantial gift from Jim D. Morris, a philanthropist from Springfield, Mo. Morris made a donation of property with a building he owned in Rolla West, which is now the location Columbia College-Rolla campus. The current facility opened in the fall of 2012, and was named Jim D. Morris Hall in recognition of Morris’ donation to the college.
