Jan. 12 new & transfer student orientation a hit!

Columbia College-Evening Campus

Bookstore staff help new students purchase textbooks.
The Jan. 12 orientation event for new and transfer students was a great success! Interested students met in Atkins-Holman Student Commons to enjoy donuts and coffee before getting down to business and learning about all that Columbia College has to offer. In addition to learning about the Evening Campus and the variety of campus resources available to students, representatives from Financial Aid, Career Services and the Nursing program gave students the opportunity to ask questions. Columbia College bookstore and Student Affairs staff also extended a warm welcome by helping attendees purchase books, have their student IDs made and set up their CougarTrack accounts. The entire Columbia College family welcomes these new students and thanks all of the staff that helped with the event.

If you know a student who’d excel in the Columbia College traditional day program, please refer him or her! Benefits to the student include:

• He/She will be able to learn about all the great programs Columbia College has to offer.
• He/She can qualify for up to 60 percent off tuition (see the scholarship finder for more information).

A new student receives his photo ID.
Benefits for you include:
• You’ll receive a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card when an individual you refer becomes a Columbia College Day Campus student (please note that referring a student does not guarantee his/her admission to Columbia College).
• You can be an ambassador for Columbia College.
• You refer outstanding students to the college.

For more information, visit the Refer A Student page or contact Admissions at (888) 231-2391, ext. 7539 or admissions@ccis.edu.
