Columbia College-Lake of the Ozarks students and alumni get the tools to put together a quality resumé

Workshop professional panel member and nurse mentor Beth Pettitt talked about her path to Lake Regional Health System and some tips on preparing for a job interview.
Columbia College-Lake of the Ozarks welcomed 26 alumni, students and staff to campus for its ‘Tools for our Times’ Resumé Building class on March 26. The group worked with members of the Grossnickle Career Services Center staff on the elements of a quality resumé and the extensive resources the center has for students and alumni. A panel of local businesswomen including Beth Pettitt (Lake Regional Hospital) and Columbia College alumnae Whitney Davis ‘10 (Inside Columbia Magazine) and Melissa Carroll ’03 (Lake Media) talked with the group about several different job-search related topics as well.



The workshop, which was sponsored by the Columbia College Alumni Association, was the fourth in the ‘Tools for our Times’ career services series aimed at assisting students and alumni in finding  careers following their graduation from Columbia College.

More than 25 students, faculty and staff attended the 'Tools for Our Times' Resumé Building Workshop March 26 at Columbia College - Lake of the Ozarks.

Dan Gomez-Palacio from the Grossnickle Career Services Center did a great job presenting the elements of a quality resumé.


Reyhan Jamerson from the Grossnickle Career Services Center told the 26 in attendance about the benefits Columbia College students and alumni can utilize at the career center.


Our panel of businesswomen were excellent and included Melissa Carroll '03, Whitney Davis '10 and Beth Pettitt.
