Columbia College-Fort Leonard Wood participates in Ivy Chain ceremony
Graduates participate in the Ivy Chain ceremony, a Columbia College tradition.
The Columbia College-Fort Leonard Wood Student Senate, Alumni Chapter and Alpha Sigma Lambda recently hosted a “2011 Celebrate the Graduates” party attended by approximately 130 graduates and guests. Graduates also participated in Columbia College’s venerable Ivy Chain Ceremony. Martha Eberhard, Columbia College Alumni Association (CCAA) director, conducted the CCAA Alumni Induction Charge and spoke to the graduates about being an active alumnus. The student organizations also conducted a raffle with items donated by local businesses that raised slightly more than $800, the profits of which will purchase an educational gift for each student in the second grade classroom at Cecil Floyd Elementary, Joplin, that they adopted earlier in the year.
