Columbia College-Christian County's academic advisor helps build houses for Habitat for Humanity

Columbia College-Christian County’s Academic Advisor Kalah Kemp volunteered to spend her birthday on a ladder putting siding on a house on Nov. 12 at one of four Habitat for Humanity houses going up at Builders' Circle in west Springfield.
Kalah and her husband, Scott, feel it is important to help others in need. The two often can be found around the community doing what they can to make a difference. When asked why she enjoys volunteering, Kemp replied, “I like helping others. I’m getting a jump start on the new year by focusing on others.” No wonder she makes a great advisor!
