New space and furniture at Columbia College–NAS Jacksonville increases classroom capacity and opportunities to learn
Columbia College–NAS Jacksonville recently moved its computer lab into a larger space, creating a total of two computer stations for CISS classes and proctored exams (a 100 percent increase from 13 computer stations).
There are also four open seats for students to use their personal laptops or netbooks and access to the wireless connection. The computer lab also has a projector, screen and whiteboard and can be used for lecture classes as well as lab classes.
The former computer lab was renovated for use as a traditional classroom with seating for 24 students. In addition, the two remaining classrooms were furnished with new desk tables and chairs that increased the seating in both of those rooms.
