Apply for the Col. Charles E. McGee Scholarship
Columbia College is excited to offer the Col. Charles E. McGee Scholarship. Col. Charles McGee '78, U.S. Air Force (retired) was a Tuskegee Airman who served in World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars and was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor, the nation's highest civilian award.
All new and returning degree-seeking student veterans or their dependents are eligible. The $1,000 scholarship will be used for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Students may apply Jan. 1-Feb. 28. To apply, fill out an application and send it in with a copy of your DD214 (Department of Defense form 214), two recommendation forms and a personal essay, limited to 500 words: Describe how education is making, or has made, a difference in your life.
