Columbia College–Lake of the Ozarks Nursing Program to hold pinning ceremony Dec. 11

The Columbia College–Lake of the Ozarks Nursing Program will celebrate the hard work and perseverance of 20 of its nursing students with a pinning ceremony for the December 2010 class on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m.

This marks the ninth class who has completed the requirements for the program which continues to flourish under the guidance of Nursing Program Director Linda Claycomb and Lake of the Ozarks interim nursing site coordinator Kristina Henry. Since its inception in 2005, the program has provided more than 160 nurses (180 including Saturday’s class) to the Lake of the Ozarks area with 75 of alums going to work for Lake Regional Hospital System in Osage Beach.

“We are very proud of this latest group of top-flight nurses who will continue their journey in the health care industry on Saturday,” said Claycomb. “The program continues to grow and evolve, and we look to build on the foundation that has been created the last five years.”
