Columbia College hires community and alumni relations coordinator for Lake Ozark campus

Columbia College is pleased to announce the addition of Sam Fleury as the community and alumni relations coordinator for the Lake Ozark campus.

"We are excited to welcome Sam to our team," said Dr. John Keeney, director of Columbia College-Lake Ozark. "This is a newly created position, and we feel the Lake Ozark campus will really benefit from Sam's public, media and client relations expertise."

Fleury graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in sports communication and a minor in sports administration. He previously worked as the assistant media relations director for the University of Missouri athletics department and as a partner relations manager for JumpTV/NeuLion, a provider of advanced digital video, ticketing and online media solutions for professional and collegiate athletic organizations.

As the community and alumni relations coordinator for the Lake Ozark campus, Fleury will be responsible for developing and building relationships with community organizations and area alumni as well as working with the local media to increase awareness of the college and its programs.

Fleury and his wife, Ann, are residents of Jefferson City, Mo., and are the parents of Ava and Will.

Columbia College, a private, nonprofit institution founded in 1851 in Columbia, Mo., educates more than 26,000 students each year and has more than 64,000 alumni worldwide.
