Columbia College–San Luis Obispo holds graduation ceremony

Columbia College–San Luis Obispo conferred 30 bachelor’s degrees upon graduates
at a commencement ceremony Friday, May 29 in the student center at the Cuesta
College campus.

Theresa Genova, director of Columbia College–San Luis Obispo, was master of ceremonies and presented the graduates to Rene’ Massey, assistant dean for Adult Higher Education, who conferred the degrees. Massey gave the commencement speech and
Dr. Dave Pelham, president of Cuesta College, also addressed the graduates. Neil Clayton was this year’s student speaker. Clayton earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration with a 3.8 GPA. “Our graduates have succeeded in balancing their daily commitments with their own career and academic goals,” said Genova. “Graduation is the culmination of their efforts and the result of wanting to improve their lives. We are proud to honor their accomplishments.”
