Columbia College–Lake County awards first business certificates
In August 2008, Columbia College began offering certificate programs in human resource management, marketing management, and management. The Lake County campus would like to congratulate Jami Styx, who was the first student to complete a certificate program, earning a management certificate in October 2008.We would also like to recognize the following students who earned their management certificates in March 2009: Hector Matute, Michael Nyland, Eric Percival, Jennifer Peterson, and Brenda Sandiford.
The business administration certificate programs were developed to provide both degree seeking and non-degree seeking students with an opportunity for focused study in key areas that employers value. Each program requires 18 credit hours (six courses), some of which overlap with core courses required for a bachelors degree in business administration. These certificate programs are available to any interested student. If you would like to learn more, please contact an academic advisor.
