Volunteering = $500

Annette Baker received $500 because she maintained a 3.0 GPA or higher, wrote an essay on “What volunteerism means to me,” and supplied documentation of her volunteer efforts with the YMCA YRead Program where she has tutored a child in reading twice a week for a year. She currently is on her third learner. Congratulations to Annette Baker!

You, too, could be a winner! The St. Louis campus scholarship, the Charles W. Kullmann Scholarship, is awarded each year in all five sessions. The scholarship is open to any student with a 3.0 GPA or higher with documentation of current volunteer work. Each applicant must also submit a 250 word essay on what volunteerism means to the applicant. The scholarship is a one-time $500 award to be used for tuition at Columbia College. Applications are available in the main office and are due, along with the supporting documentation, by the last class day of each session. If you have questions, see Tracey Ratermann, academic advisor, or Debra Shrout, director.
