Students, staff and families gather for Holiday Fest

Approximately 55 students, staff and alumni of the Fort Leonard Wood campus and their families gathered together on December 13 to celebrate the holiday season. Held again at the Pulaski County Family Activities Center in St. Robert, the event was a roaring success with plenty of great food and activities for adults and children alike.

Highlights of the afternoon included the gift passing game directed by Merri Richards, a pinata for the kids run by Matt Richards and a visit from the Jolly Old Fat Man himself! A silent auction held during the event raised more than $350 for the Fort Leonard Wood chapter of the Alumni Association. The money will be used for student activities and to help fund the organization's annual donation to local scholarships.

"I'm very pleased with the turnout that we had this year," said Dr. David L. King, campus director. "Everyone had a really tremendous time."
